Submission Agreement

Non-exclusive Deposit and Distribution Agreement for the Institutional Repository 

Users of the repository must agree to this Agreement as part of the deposit process. 

By accepting this Agreement, you as author, copyright owner, or their designate, grant Mount Royal University the non-exclusive right to copy, distribute, migrate, and translate formats of the Submission in print and electronic formats and in any medium. The University may keep more than one copy of the Submission for purposes of security, backup and preservation. 

You represent that your Submission is your original work, or that you have the right to grant the rights contained in this Agreement. If you are submitting the work on behalf of co-author(s), you are affirming you have obtained a written permission from all authors to publish the work and to assign an open license, if applicable. You also represent that your Submission does not, to the best of your knowledge, infringe upon anyone's copyright. If the Submission contains material for which you do not hold copyright and which is not in the public domain, you are validly exercising an exception as granted under the Copyright Act, or you have obtained the permission of the copyright owner(s) to use the material as outlined in this License and retained records of such permission. Any such third-party owned material is clearly identified and acknowledged within the text or content of the Submission. Mount Royal University will not be held liable for any infringement of patents, copyrights, other intellectual property rights, nor any other rights, to the extent that a claim arises from or relates to your Submission. 

By making a Submission to the repository you confirm you have read and understand the information provided in the terms of use section of the repository. By making your Submission, you indemnify Mount Royal University from any claim by a third party arising out of or related to your Submission. 

If the Submission is based upon work that has been sponsored or supported by an agency or organization other than Mount Royal University, you represent that you have fulfilled any right of review or other obligations required by the agreement with the sponsor. 

Mount Royal University will clearly identify you as the author(s) or owner(s) of the submission, and will not make any alteration, other than as allowed by this agreement and repository terms of use, to your submission. Please contact us with any questions about this agreement.
