This video anthology brings together poems, stories, letters, and creative reflections produced by immigrant seniors and Mount Royal University students in Calgary. When the COVID-19 pandemic prevented in-person meetings, the Community Initiatives for Immigrant Seniors Program (CISP) adapted its creative writing project into a virtual workshop series. Seniors and students met online in pairs and as a group to write, share, and record their work. Edited by Andrea Wong, the film captures themes of joy, belonging, resilience, memory, and cultural identity, highlighting the relationships formed between generations and the importance of creative expression during a time of social isolation.
